Fast forward to my life now and it is so strange to me that what I used to look at with curiosity is now my everyday life. I have identical twin girls…and they are definitely in the terrible two's! There is no doubt that if they were in daycare they would take care of each other just like those little girls did.
| A rare moment caught on camera-- Summer (L) got scared of the vacuum, started crying, and snuggled up next to Emsley :) :) |
Most days, however, they fight/play/fight/play all day long. They fight over toys, over my lap, over who gets the purple plate, and ON AND ON AND ON. Even though they fight a lot, they also have times when you can just tell that they are best friends. They love to play together in their play kitchens and they love to talk to each other every nap time/night time from across the room in their cribs.
Today's new phrases:
Summer: LOOK AT ME!
Emsley: GO AWAY!!!! (Summer starts bawling)
As I am typing this post I am listening to their bedroom. Emsley has fallen asleep but I can hear Summer saying "Emmmsleyyyyy" "Emmmmsleyyyyyy" over and over again. They love each other so much and have such an incredible bond as sisters. I hope it always stays that way :)
