oh, bother

A few annoying things to note:

1. I lost *everything* on my computer. The guy at the Genius Bar was a meanie, and now my computer doesn't have a single picture of the girls on it, nor do I have iPhoto anymore to connect my camera up. Thankfully I backed up all of their newborn/baby pictures and lots of other special ones, but I did lose a few oldies too. SAD!

2. No matter where I put the toys away at night, somehow Sophie the Giraffe manages to move in the silent middle of the night to wherever I need to step. SQQUUEEEEAKKKKY HEARTATTACK!! Nothing makes me feel more like the mom cliche as when I have spit-up on my clothes, I'm carrying a baby with poop all over, and then I step on that obnoxious squeaker.
Sophie, good thing the girls love you, else I might have to gut out your squeaker.

3. Those beautiful, perfect, sexy patent black pumps at Nordstrom...I'll take them!
Oh wait, they are Prada and $700. Annoying.

4. Dear Rachel Coleman from Baby Signing Time, it is really annoying how overly-enthusiastic you are about teaching babies to sign. Those songs get stuck in my head for hours and I'm sure my babies think that I am a comatose robot compared to you.
Lets lay off the energy drinks and take that stupid tape off your fingers, okay?

My next post will (hopefully) have some new pictures of the smiling babies. And, hooray that Valentines Day is almost here! I love it! :)

christmas vacation

We had such a special christmas this year! The girls got to meet lots of family and friends for the first time and I actually ran out of memory on my camera, so my pictures were somewhat limited. Oh well, here we go...

My mom (aka: nana) goes all out with christmas stockings. ALL. OUT.
Look at all these goodies that santa brought!

nana got them these adorable pottery barn stockings and then I hand-embroidered their names on them (which proved to be much more complicated than I intended!) I hope they will love them for many years to come!

we adored grandpa...he was so funny and loved to play with us all the time!

we loved our funny uncle brian. he gave us lots of love!

the humongous christmas tree! the girls LOVED all the lights and ornaments!

we got to meet our great-grandma sue!

four generations

and our sweet 2nd-cousin Marie (and great-auntie jill and great-uncle rob)

One of my best friends Bre was in town and the girls got to meet their newest little friend Eleanor! They are only two weeks apart! :)

mommy and daddy got a chance to eat the most delicious dinner at the pine tavern and had a romantic date night :)
[thanks nana and grandpa!]

Joel's graduation

what a happy day!

Joel graduated with his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) on December 17th. I am very proud of him! he only just started last January, so he finished in less than a year, with two newborn babies to boot!
I'll always remember him staying up late in the chair next to my hospital bed slaving over stupid excel graphs every night while I was in the hospital days away from having our babies. Talk about dedication! And lets not forget where that guy was when my water broke (night class) and when emsley had to go to the emergency room (night class).
needless to say, we are singing praises that there is no more homework or night class ever again!
unless you count the CPA study course...which is also going to be at night. but we're not going to talk about that right now.

I would like to thank MTSU for saying "Joe Wills Brandon" while he walked across the stage. I didn't think it was possible to mispronounce Joel, but they proved me wrong.
Also, I hate everything about that school. Everything.
I literally LAUGH OUT LOUD whenever the "graduate gift" people call me to ask if I want to donate to MTSU. Hah hah! I feel like saying "YOU owe ME money!"

I love that MTSU just decided to take every grad's picture in front of a green screen and then add a flag or a MTSU building as the background....why stop at the american flag and school logo? why didn't they make the background a tropical beach or the statue of liberty? its no wonder we didn't buy the real thing...
